Arkansas Online:  Distinctive Sushi Cafe on a roll in Heights

Sushi Cafe is still the city's newest Asian-fusion eatery, its name not quite doing the expansive menu - that goes way beyond the expected raw fish on rice - justice. Not only do entrees include everything from a New York strip steak ($24) to Grilled Rack of Lamb ($24), there's even a Tokyo Cowboy Burger ($9). And people not only order it, they enjoy it. We would have asked the gentleman next to us at the sushi bar if the hefty Black Angus burger was as good as it looked, but he inhaled it so quickly we didn't have to.

YELP: 5 Stars - Best sushi in Little Rock!

So fresh and yummy! The restaurant is small, so expect a wait. However, it is well worth it. The fish tacos are yummy as are the desserts. But it's the creative rolls that make the Sushi Cafe a must.

The Hawaiian roll is loved by many, as is the lobster roll.

Overall, it is pricey. But at lunch you can get a HUGE bento box for 8 bucks. By far, the best sushi in the Rock City.

foodbuzz: Susi Cafe

Driving through the Heights yesterday, I saw one of the happiest things I've seen in a while, a blue and red flashing OPEN sign in the window of Sushi Cafe. I had been waiting for this place to open, and the day had finally come.

As a celebration for finishing exams, Jay and I decided to try it out. We arrived around 8 and the place was packed. We had to wait for a little while, but given the size of the place and the level of operating experience (turns out this was only the second day they were open), it was pretty expected.

Trip Advisor: “Great place for sushi/japanese food in LR”

I have eaten at every sushi establishment in Little Rock and I can honestly say that this place trumps them all. It's much better than Sekisui or Igibon.

The upside: The variety of fresh sushi is extensive and includes interesting types that you can't get at other places. For example the naruto crab roll which is crab rolled in thin slices of cucumber rather than rice... low carb and quite tasty. The service is attentive and they have a good selection of cooked items for those who fear the raw. The small location is cozy and has ecclectic artwork and hits from the 80's-90's playing in the background.
